ÁKOS HUBER IS A HUNGARIAN ARCHITECT AND DESIGNER CURRENTLY LIVING AND WORKING IN PORTLAND, OREGON. HE COMPLETED HIS MASTER DEGREE IN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AT THE MOHOLY-NAGY UNIVERSITY OF ART AND DESIGN IN BUDAPEST. DURING HIS UNIVERSITY YEARS HE SPENT A SEMESTER IN AUGSBURG WITH AN ERASMUS SCHOLARSHIP. ÁKOS WORKED IN ARCHITECTURAL STUDIOS IN BERLIN AND IN MUNICH. AFTER THAT HE MOVED TO LONDON AND WORKED AS A FREELANCE DESIGNER.

 

HIS WORK HAS COVERED MANY FIELD RANGING FROM THE DESIGN OF SMALL OBJECTS TO FURNITURE, FROM DRAWINGS TO ARCHITECTURE. HIS EXPERIMENTAL APPROACH IS ESSENTIAL TO DEVELOPING DESIGNS IN AN UNUSUAL AND UNIQUE WAY. HE IS ENGAGED FINDING CONNECTION BETWEEN TRADITION AND INNOVATION, CRAFT AND TECHNOLOGY.

 

HIS OBJECTS WERE PUBLISHED BY CUTTING EDGE DESIGN MAGAZINES AND HE TOOK PART IN NUMEROUS  DESIGN AND ART EXHIBITIONS IN THE LAST 3 YEARS.
